The 000 Martin design acoustic guitars have actually always been my favorite acoustic guitars for that down-home acoustic blues tone, so while I was visiting the Martin Showroom in Nashville just recently, I couldn’t resist taking this sexy thang off the wall, and fingerpick some slow country blues. The 000 body design is a little slimmer than the dreadnoughts, and the tone is a little more intimate, and less punchy, which enables various subtleties in the tone to be spotlighted.
