Drawing motivation from a vast array of sources (Italian standards, the Motown era, and an alien idea experiment), Italian guitar player Alberto Lombardi produces links between them all with his inventive fingerstyle arrangements and skillful strategy. In this AG Session, Lombardi, on his Taylor 412, performs his original piece “The Fermi Paradox” and a pair of classics, “How Sweet It Is (To Be Enjoyed By You)” and “Volare.”.
Between performances, Lombardi breaks down his method to organizing– focusing on consistency and motion while honoring the musical integrity of the source material. He also goes into information on a few of his techniques.
