AG contributing writer Kate Koenig auditions the Eastman AC622CE, a grand auditorium cutaway with spruce top, maple back and sides, and L.R. Baggs electronic devices. The AC622CE is a magnificently made guitar with a big and bold sound. It manages to be both strong and clear at the same time, great for strumming and inviting of selecting and fingerpicking, the latter especially providing securely spoken tones. The soundport, beveled edge, and new inlays include a contemporary touch to the all-solid-wood instrument, making it well worth the rate mark.
