I enjoy shreddy guitar music since I understand simply how much practice and devotion go into reaching those levels of capability. I admire it as much as I enjoy it.
But when a “basic” blues lick stopped me dead in my tracks, I started to widen my idea of what great “guitar” music was. I needed it.
