This collection of original guitar music makes up fifty acoustic fingerstyle blues pieces composed basically in the Delta style, though a few of the pieces reveal clear impacts of ragtime and the occasional jazz chord appears in passing. In spite of these stylistic variances, the collection is intended to pay homage to pre-WWII blues artists, whose music rose above the typically deplorable social conditions in which they lived and continues to move its listeners and to motivate musicians and vocalists today. The titles of the private pieces, though approximate, refer to various aspects of life in the Mississippi Delta in the prewar period.

For guitar gamers, basic notation and tablature is offered free of charge on my website: http://www.verseandsong.com/song/acoustic-guitar/new-delta-blues/
