“Sorry You’re Ill” is a tune by the late Ted Hawkins (born Biloxi 1936 died Los Angeles 1995) which appeared on his first album Watch Your Step (Rounder 1982). I moved to LA in 1978, and invested most Sunday mornings 1979 thru 1983 in Venice Beach where Ted and artists David & Roselyn and political comic Swami X were among my street favorites. Bob Dylan was among numerous noteworthy fans of Ted Hawkins.
