It’s been an extremely long period of time considering that I’ve altered strings on my Takamine acoustic guitar. And I have actually had these Ernie Ball Earthwood Light acoustic strings sitting here for a while.

** I required to change my acoustic guitar strings for a gig I was preparing yourself for! Can’t go on deal with dead guitar strings!

Now, when I got this pack of acoustic strings it was simply a random thing. I really had actually not used Ernie Ball strings in years and had actually never ever heard of ‘Earthwood’ strings.

Seriously, the name Earthwood sounded cool so that’s why I bought them! I’m kinda funny like that (like, I play the fruit machine that have Pandas or Dragons due to the fact that I like Pandas and Dragons … there’s no deeper thought than that!).

Anyhow, I had Elixir strings on my acoustic before this, which is why I had not altered strings in so long. Those strings last forever however they do lose their tone after a couple of months. But I usually only play acoustic guitar on my outdoor patio about 2-3 times a week, so there’s hasn’t been any genuine requirement to have new strings (till I had this acoustic gig).

So how do I like the Ernie Ball Earthwood acoustic strings? Well, I’m publishing this video on YouTube about a week after altering guitar strings (you guys might have seen a shorter variation of this video on IGTV the prior week).

They sound terrific, and I actually like the way they play. The important things is Earthwood strings don’t really sound or seem like the majority of brand name brand-new strings. You understand how you put new strings on and whatever is so intense sounding and plays type of unusual initially?

It actually feels (and sounds) like the strings are already kinda ‘broken in’ if that makes good sense. I have actually never ever liked the sound of brand name new strings so this is a plus for me.

Again, these are the Earthwood LIGHT strings. I do not actually look after heavier strings. That may be because I play a great deal of leads and much heavier strings simply never ever felt best to me.

Let me understand in the comments if you have actually tried (or presently play) with Ernie Ball Earthwood strings, and let me know your ideas!

If not, comment and let me know what kind of acoustic guitar strings you use (and why!).

I hope you enjoyed this video, and please give it a thumbs up!
